Childlike Faith

(Verse 1)

I used to see the world so clear, no questions in my mind

Mountains moved, the sun would rise, and I knew that He designed

Every breath, every heartbeat, every wave upon the shore

And I never stopped to wonder, I just knew there was something more

(Pre-Chorus)

But the world loves to whisper, loves to make me doubt

Tells me faith is foolish, tries to turn me ‘round

But I won’t let the noise drown out the truth I’ve always known

(Chorus)

I’ve got that childlike faith, I believe like I did before

Don’t need to see it all to know my God is Lord

I won’t waver, I won’t wonder, I won’t try to understand

When He speaks, I’ll take Him at His word and trust His hand

(Verse 2)

I’ve seen prayers turn to miracles, felt peace in raging storms

I’ve heard His voice in silence, felt His presence keep me warm

And every time I question, every time I stray

I remember what He promised, and my fear just fades away

(Pre-Chorus)

‘Cause the world loves to reason, loves to twist the light

But I don’t have to figure out what only faith makes right

No, I won’t let the doubt outweigh the truth I’ve always known

(Chorus)

I’ve got that childlike faith, I believe like I did before

Don’t need to see it all to know my God is Lord

I won’t waver, I won’t wonder, I won’t try to understand

When He speaks, I’ll take Him at His word and trust His hand

(Bridge)

I don’t need the answers, I don’t need a sign

I just need His promise, and I’ll rest inside

Like a child in his father’s arms, I will stand secure

For He is who He says He is, His word is always sure

(Chorus – Full Band Lift)

I’ve got that childlike faith, I believe like I did before

Don’t need to see it all to know my God is Lord

I won’t waver, I won’t wonder, I won’t try to understand

When He speaks, I’ll take Him at His word and trust His hand

(Outro – Soft Reflection)

I used to see the world so clear, and maybe that’s the key

Not to fight to understand—just believe.

For unless we become like little children,

We cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.
