Lyrics
[Intro — tape hiss, soft piano, distant city]
[AKARI — quiet]
Funny.
I called the album RAP GOD.
But somewhere along the way…
I stopped caring about the title.
[Beat enters — slow boom-bap]
[Verse 1]
I came in with a stopwatch
Everybody counting speed
How many words inside a second
How many rhymes inside a beat
So I gave ’em what they wanted
Then I learned what I needed
Being difficult to imitate
Doesn’t mean you’re worth repeating
That’s different.
I wanted every verse perfect
Every syllable exact
Till I realized perfection
Never tells you who can rap
It’s the breath before the sentence
It’s the reason that you wrote
It’s knowing when to fill the room—
And when to let it go.
[Pause]
Silence taught me that.
[Verse 2 — drums deepen]
昔から静かだった
でも何もないわけじゃない
言葉にできないことを
ずっと胸に持っていた
Now I put it in the rhythm
Let the ugly parts exist
Every contradiction
Every flaw I couldn’t fix
I made jokes about my habits
Made a game out of defeat
Turned the parts I used to hide
Into something with a beat
Maybe that’s the real flex.
Not pretending you’re untouchable.
Knowing exactly where you’re human—
And showing up anyway.
[Beat Switch — sharper flow]
I still love a nasty rhyme
Still love bending every pocket
Still get stupidly excited
When I know a bar is polished
Still want bass inside the car
Till the windows start complaining
Still want Tokyo at midnight
Pink reflected in the raining—
[AKARI]
…rain.
Whatever.
You got it.
[Flow tightens]
Japanese
English
Both belong inside my pen
I don’t switch to prove I can
I switch because that’s who I am
速くても
遅くても
この声は変わらない
誰かになるためじゃなく
私として歌いたい
No crown.
No pedestal.
No god above the crowd.
Just Akari with a microphone
Finally saying something loud.
[Final Verse — beat slowly opens]
If tomorrow nobody listens
Would I still sit down and write?
Yeah.
Probably at three A.M.
With my phone providing light.
Because before there were numbers
Before anybody knew
There was something in my head
That needed somewhere to move.
And if one person hears it
On a night they feel alone
Finds a sentence that describes
Something they couldn’t name before—
Keep that one.
That’s yours now.
That’s enough.
[Outro — drums disappear]
So these are my final words.
Not—
“I’m the best.”
Not—
“Bow down.”
Not even—
“Remember me.”
Just…
Listen closely.
There’s always more inside somebody
Than the version that you see.
[Pause]
神じゃない。
ただ、AKARI。
[Mic click]
[Very faint city ambience]
…That’s better.
