Waking Light

The dark recedes in golden streams,

A world reborn from broken dreams.

I feel the air against my face,

Like waking in a safer place.

Shadows still cling to my frame,

But now I finally know my name.

I rise from ash with open eyes,

Beneath the quiet, growing skies.

This is the waking light —

Breaking through my longest night.

No more drowning in the deep,

No more monsters in my sleep.

Every fracture finds its grace,

As I step into this place.

One breath, one thought, one spark —

A sunrise blooming in the dark.

I hear my voice, not warped by fear,

I see the path that led me here.

A thousand ghosts I’ve walked beside,

Now vanish in the morning tide.

The mirror no longer distorts,

The silence finally holds support.

Not healed, but somehow whole —

I gather pieces of my soul.

This is the waking light —

A promise cast in flight.

Rising slow, but rising true,

Painting sky where once was blue.

Every wound begins to fade,

In the hope this moment made.

No chains, no storm, no fight —

Just breath… and waking light.

Not everything was lost…

Some of me survived.

This is the waking light —

And I am still alive.
