I Knew

From the moment I heard you talk I knew

From across the room I saw you smile my heart knew

As I got close enough to you to look in your eyes I knew

I trembled as I reached out and touch your hand we knew

I never dreamed I had a chance but she knew

To spend a lifetime with your love you knew

I was so afraid I'd be a failure but you knew

So each day we reached out and gave our all we knew

(Chorus)

We were living our lives wide open

And devoted ourselves to each other

In time our hearts begin to beat as

one

And we would spend every moment in time together nothing could pull us apart

But in time our hearts were beating as one

(Lead)

I never dreamed I had a chance but she knew

To spend a lifetime with your love you knew

I was so afraid I'd be a failure but you knew

So each day we reached out and gave our all we knew

(Chorus)

We were living our lives wide open

And devoted ourselves to each other

In time our hearts begin to beat as

one

And we would spend every moment in time together nothing could pull us apart

But in time our hearts were beating as one
