Rise Up

Breathe in, the morning is calling

One step, the old walls are falling

Dust on the windows, rain on the street

A map in my pocket, a pulse in my feet

The door that was locked has given way

I carry the spark into the day

When the doubt comes climbing

When the ground feels wide

I hear a distant rhythm

Pulling me outside

Rise up, rise up, let the whole world see

There’s a fire in the heart of me

Rise up, rise up, let the dark give way

We are turning the fear into a brighter day

Rise up, rise up, with the sky above

Every beat is a reason to love

Rise up, rise up, hear the morning say

We were made to begin again today

Streetlights fading, the rooftops glow

Friends at the corner say, “Ready? Go!”

The miles ahead are calling my name

No more waiting, no more tame

If the road keeps bending

If the rain comes down

I’ll follow every heartbeat

Till I find higher ground

Rise up, rise up, let the whole world see

There’s a fire in the heart of me

Rise up, rise up, let the dark give way

We are turning the fear into a brighter day

Rise up, rise up, with the sky above

Every beat is a reason to love

Rise up, rise up, hear the morning say

We were made to begin again today

Hands to the sky, let the old weight go

Step by step, feel the current grow

No perfect road, no promised sign

Just this breath, this beat, this life of mine

Rise up, rise up, let the whole world see

There’s a fire in the heart of me

Rise up, rise up, let the dark give way

We are turning the fear into a brighter day

Rise up, rise up, with the sky above

Every beat is a reason to love

Rise up, rise up, hear the morning say

We were made to begin again today
