Rosalee’s six and tall as ten, Scarlett’s thirteen and bougie,
Big blue eyes, pretty smiles, and mouths that stay real busy.
One’s got curls, one’s got straight hair, both got opinions to spare,
They love each other something fierce—
Till one breathes the other one’s air.
They love Jesus, travel revival roads, and praise Him loud and true,
But let a cute boy walk on by—
Lord, they love them fellas too. 😂
Ohhhh, them cousin blues,
Lord, what are we gonna do?
They love God, boys, drums and fishin’,
And tellin’ everybody what to do.
They’ll fight like cats, then hug it out,
Like only family do—
That’s Rosalee and Scarlett,
Singin’ them cousin blues.
Rosalee sings and bangs the drums, Scarlett plays ’em too,
She plays soccer and volleyball—’cause one sport just wouldn’t do.
Give those girls a fishin’ pole, they’ll stay out there all day,
Till Rosalee catches the bigger fish
And Scarlett finds somebody else to blame.
Scarlett’s got champagne taste with no paycheck of her own,
And a big ol’ toe so legendary
It needs a ZIP code of its own. 😂
Rosalee don’t believe in clothes—she likes to wander free,
But Charlotte can’t say nothin’, ’cause that apple hugged the tree.
They got Grandma’s fire and feisty ways, Grandpa’s giving heart of gold,
They’d give you anything they had, though they’ll still tell you what you’re told.
So pray for all their future boyfriends—Lord knows what they’ll go through,
With half-dressed Rosalee and Bougie-Toe Scarlett…
Singin’ them cousin blues. 🎸😂
Ohhhh, them cousin blues,
Lord, what are we gonna do?
They love God, boys, drums and fishin’,
And tellin’ everybody what to do.
Big blue eyes and hearts of gold,
Wild, sweet and sassy too—
That’s our Rosalee and Scarlett,
And we wouldn’t change those two. ❤️
