Doubt Comes With Correction

I keep receipts like the past keeps a tab,

Every loss gets remembered, every win gets passed.

Doubt walks in dressed up like intelligence,

Makes fear sound smart, then presents the evidence.

“You could lose everything.” Yeah, technically true.

“You could fuck this all up.” I probably could too.

But doubt comes with correction when I challenge the claim,

You can point at the danger, I can still change the game.

You show me the fall, never mention the climb,

Never mention every loss that improved my design.

Confidence ain’t thinking nothing bad can occur,

It’s knowing that it might and moving forward for sure.

Doubt comes with correction when I answer it back,

Show me what could break, I’ll show you how I adapt.

Tell me everything I risk, everything that I missed,

Every warning gets reviewed—it don’t control this shit.

Doubt comes with correction, every fear gets checked,

Question my direction—I still choose what happens next.

What if the money runs low? Correct it.

What if the whole thing folds? Reset it.

What if the people I counted on vanish?

Been there already—somehow I managed.

What if I’m wrong and I’m fucking it up?

Then I fix what is broken instead of giving it up.

What if I fail? Then I know what don’t work.

That’s information—I’m adding its worth.

Doubt gets loud late at night,

Three in the morning makes every fear feel right.

Turns one bad week to a five-year forecast,

One closed door means the whole thing won’t last.

Not every thought deserves my respect,

Some are facts, some are fear dressed to impress,

Using old damage like it proves what comes next.

I can hear you and disagree—that’s maturity.

Know the odds are bad, still bet on me.

Recognize the problem, fix it carefully.

Doubt brings the question—I bring clarity.

I made dumb moves. I made brilliant mistakes.

Trusted wrong people, put too much at stake.

Every version of me that got buried before

Left something underneath I can use for more.

Doubt said, “You could lose.” I corrected the view:

“Maybe—but winning is possible too.”

Doubt said, “They might leave.” Then let ’em decide.

I quit calling it a loss when dead weight leaves my side.

I quit needing certainty before I begin,

Quit confusing being cautious with refusing to win.

I don’t silence every warning, I study the threat,

Then correct every weakness I haven’t fixed yet.

Let it show me the risk, let it point out the cracks,

I tighten every bolt and put the plan back on track.

I don’t need blind faith, I need owne
