Yeah…

These ain’t just pages,

These are pieces of me.

Every scar, every loss, every person I became—

My footprints across my book.

Growing up, I didn’t know who Mom was,

Dad worked hard just to give me what I thought love was.

Then my stepmom came through, we fought like hell,

Funny how the person I pushed away knew me so well.

Somehow she became my best friend,

Proof that broken chapters don’t always mean the end.

They talked about me at school, I learned to hide the pain,

Made the cheer team, still felt like I had something to prove again.

I kept chasing “enough,” but enough stayed far away,

Smiling through the hurt like nobody could see the cracks in my face.

These are my footprints across my book,

Every page shows the places I was shook.

I lost myself, then found me in the scars,

Turned all my broken pieces into stars.

From the girl who thought she’d never belong,

To the woman who finally learned she was strong.

Every goodbye, every battle, every look—

Left a footprint across my book.

High school didn’t happen like the normal way,

Military school became the road I had to take.

Then Alicia and Kierstin walked into my life,

Two best friends who somehow helped me survive.

They saw the girl underneath all the doubt,

Held my hand when I couldn’t figure myself out.

Graduated with honors, medical college too,

I started seeing something different in the mirror—

Maybe I could actually make it through.

Family relationships started healing over time,

Old wounds started closing, little by little, line by line.

Then I started my military journey,

Had setbacks that almost made me quit early.

But Dad, Mom, my brother kept me moving ahead,

When I couldn’t believe in me, they believed instead.

I kept pushing through every test and every wall,

Until one day I stood there—

I finally graduated it all.

Then Chaela came into my life at job course,

Another friendship I swear was heaven-sent by force.

We came to our duty station, side by side,

Not knowing how many chapters waited on the other side.

These are my footprints across my book,

Every page shows the places I was shook.

I lost myself, then found me in the scars,

Leadership hurt, trauma left scars I couldn’t see,

But somehow life kept pulling something beautiful toward me.

Then Nico walked in when I least expected,

My forever partner, the love I never thought I’d get.

And Nox came along with those four little paws,

Somehow that little dog reminded me what love was.

These are my footprints…

Across my book.

Not every chapter was beautiful,
