Atmos of Mercy

Hear the pressure loosen—thin blue hope around the bone.

I have lived beneath a stone,

Breathing cinders, breathing groan.

Now the sky begins to learn

How to soften what I burn.

Cold above me, void and wide—

Still, a vapor stirs inside.

First forgiveness, faint and rare,

Rises like a newborn air.

Lift my chest, unhook the night—

Teach my lungs the weight of light.

Atmos of mercy—form around me,

Turn my edges into sea.

Fill the hollow, flood the harm,

Wrap the wounds in open calm.

Atmos of mercy—let me breathe it,

Name by name, release, believe it.

What the fires could not release,

Let this air become my peace.

Ash remembers every fault,

Salt and smoke in every vault.

But the wind begins to read

All my anger’s buried seed.

Nitrogen of steady hands,

Oxygen of second plans—

Mix the weather of my chest

Till the storms agree to rest.

Lift my chest, unhook the night—

Teach my lungs the weight of light.

Atmos of mercy—form around me,

Turn my edges into sea.

Fill the hollow, flood the harm,

Wrap the wounds in open calm.

Atmos of mercy—let me breathe it,

Name by name, release, believe it.

What the fires could not release,

Let this air become my peace.

If I choke on what I’ve been,

Let the gentle pressure in.

If I fall through vacant sky,

Lay a blue hand under, nigh.

Atmos of mercy—hold me steady,

Turn my ruins into ready.

Fill the distances with grace,

Give my heart a living space.

Atmos of mercy—round and real,

Every breath a chance to heal.

From the furnace, out of plea—

I belong where I can breathe.

Thin blue crown… around my head—

I am living where I bled.

Atmos of mercy—hold me steady,

Turn my ruins into ready.

Fill the distances with grace,

Give my heart a living space.

Atmos of mercy—round and real,

Every breath a chance to heal.

From the furnace, out of plea—

I belong where I can breathe.

Thin blue crown… around my head—

I am living where I bled.
