Lyrics
[Intro]
Whoa-oh, today is ours
Salt on my skin, we’re chasing hours
[Verse 1]
You ran barefoot past the little blue café
Laughing when the tide came up and stole your shoes away
A paper cup of mango, two names in the sand
You took my hand and suddenly I understood the plan
[Pre-Chorus]
No calendar, no calls, no reason to go
The whole wide ocean moving nice and slow
If this is a dream, let the warm breeze prove
I found my favorite place when I found you
[Chorus]
Best day of my life, under the Caribbean sun
Beach on the left, waves on the right, and you’re the only one
Sand between our toes, hearts beating in time
Best day, best day, best day of my life
Raise your hands up high, let the island come alive
Best day, best day, best day of my life
[Post-Chorus]
La-la-la, we don’t need a reason
La-la-la, summer’s in season
Oh-oh-oh, let the blue roll by
Best day of my life
[Verse 2]
We watched the fishing boats turn gold beyond the pier
You drew a crooked heart and pulled me closer near
A drum began somewhere, the whole shore found the groove
Even strangers joined the circle when we started to move
[Pre-Chorus]
No tomorrow, no yesterday, just this
A little lime, a little breeze, a little kiss
If the moon comes up, we’ll stay right here
Making one bright memory last all year
[Chorus]
Best day of my life, under the Caribbean sun
Beach on the left, waves on the right, and you’re the only one
Sand between our toes, hearts beating in time
Best day, best day, best day of my life
Raise your hands up high, let the island come alive
Best day, best day, best day of my life
[Electronic Drop]
Hey! Move with me, move with me
Turn the blue into a memory
Hey! Jump with me, jump with me
Nothing’s ever gonna feel this free
[Bridge]
When the years run fast and the pictures fade
I’ll remember the promise your smile made
One small island, one endless sky
You beside me, and the perfect night
[Final Chorus]
Best day of my life, under the Caribbean sun
Beach on the left, waves on the right, and you’re the only one
Sand between our toes, hearts beating in time
Best day, best day, best day of my life
Raise your hands up high, let the island come alive
Best day, best day, best day of my life
[Outro]
La-la-la, the tide is turning slow
La-la-la, but I never want to go
Best day, best day, beneath that open sky
Best day of my life
