Running Toward Tomorrow

I spent too long

looking behind me.

Not anymore.

I know the road I've travelled,

I know the things I've lost.

I could keep counting every step,

every line, every cost.

But there's something up ahead

I can finally see.

And whatever waits for me,

it's waiting for me.

So let the old days fade,

let the silence fall.

I've got nothing left to prove

to anyone at all.

I'm running toward tomorrow,

I won't turn around.

I'm running toward tomorrow,

with both feet off the ground.

Whatever comes, I'll face it.

Whatever waits, I'll know.

I'm running toward tomorrow—

and I'm ready to go.

Oh-oh-oh...

Tomorrow...

Oh-oh-oh...

Maybe I don't have the answers.

Maybe I never will.

But I've learned that moving forward

beats standing standing still.

There's a fire in the distance,

there's a rhythm in my chest.

And for the first time in a long time,

I don't need to know what's next.

So let the old days fade,

let the silence fall.

I've got nothing left to prove

to anyone at all.

I'm running toward tomorrow,

I won't turn around.

I'm running toward tomorrow,

with both feet off the ground.

Whatever comes, I'll face it.

Whatever waits, I'll know.

I'm running toward tomorrow—

and I'm ready to go.

Ready to go...

Tomorrow...

I'm ready.
