The Sinner

I am the sinner

Who must beat my chest because

I have got nothing

That I can boast upon except

Christ in me,

My hope of glory–

My pure offering

- - - -

I lay me down

That Christ might increase and I

Lay that increase down

- - - -

I am the sinner

Who must beat my chest because

I have got nothing

That I can boast upon except

Christ in me,

My hope of glory–

My pure offering

- - - -

I lay me down

That Christ might increase and I

Lay that increase down

I lay me down

That Christ might increase and I

Lay that increase down

I lay me down

That Christ might increase and I

Lay that increase down

I lay me down

That Christ might increase and I

Lay that increase down

Heavenly Father,

We ask You, God, We seek You, Lord, we knock

Would You give us Your Spirit now

Heavenly Father,

We ask You, God, We seek You, Lord, we knock

Would You give us Your Spirit now

Heavenly Father,

We ask You, God, We seek You, Lord, we knock

Would You give us Your Spirit now

- - - -

Would You fill us, indwell us now

Would You fill us, indwell us now

Would You fill us, indwell us now

Would You fill us, indwell us now

Would You fill us, indwell us now

- - - -

I lay me down

That Christ might increase and I

Lay that increase down

‘Cause I am the sinner

Who must beat my chest because

I have got nothing

That I can boast upon except

Christ in me,

My hope of glory–

My pure offering

Christ in me,

My hope of glory–

My pure offering
