Grafting Psalm

Bring the broken bough to light,

Trim the wound and fit it right.

Tie the seam with living thread,

Let the sap forgive the dead.

Hands that shake become a brace,

Pulse to pulse, we stitch a place.

Name the branch and name the tree—

What we lost can learn to be.

Breath in time, steady, warm;

Join the fracture, mend the form.

Grafting psalm—bind and stay,

Teach the cut a kinder way.

Root and branch, blood and sun,

Make the many beat as one.

Grafting psalm—gentle, true,

Let the old make space for new.

If we hold through pain and calm,

Life replies: amen, amen—psalm.

Scars remember winter’s teeth,

Spring writes music underneath.

Every lash of wind we knew

Becomes bark that shields us through.

Pass the twine and pass the prayer,

Lift together, learn to bear.

What was severed, what was worn,

Sets a bud and blooms reborn.

Breath in time, steady, warm;

Join the fracture, mend the form.

Grafting psalm—bind and stay,

Teach the cut a kinder way.

Root and branch, blood and sun,

Make the many beat as one.

Grafting psalm—gentle, true,

Let the old make space for new.

If we hold through pain and calm,

Life replies: amen, amen—psalm.

If the night insists on cost,

Tie the vow to what we lost.

Lay the hurt in open air—

Love will take it, root it there.

Grafting psalm—hold the line,

Turn the wound to living sign.

Hand in hand, branch to palm—

Grow the chorus, psalm by psalm.
