Don’t Cha Wish

(A telephone dial tone, followed by a cheeky giggle. The bass kicks in.)

[Nova]: Hello, baby?

Did you miss me?

[Jaeha]: You again?

[Minji]: Ha! Let's go.

[ALL — whispered]:

Don't cha wish, don't cha wish…

You were me?

Boy, you know I'm your fantasy

Walk in the room, everybody turns

One little smile and the whole place burns

모르는 척해, that's how I roll

You want my love, but you gotta earn it

[Sera]:

[Jaeha]:

You can look, but don't touch

Think you know me? Not so much!

[Sera]:

One, two, three, now count to five

Baby, welcome to my life!

Don't cha wish you could be like me?

Walk that walk with the VIP

Don't cha wish you could steal my shine?

Sorry, baby, this crown is mine!

Ooh-la-la, look at me now

Everybody wanna know just how

I do it, do it, do it so fine

Don't cha wish that you could be mine?

[Nova]: Don't cha?

[All]: WISH!

[Minji]: Don't cha?

[All]: WISH!

[All]:

You can dream all night, but you can't take my place!

[Nova]:

La-la-la, you want it, want it

La-la-la, but you can't flaunt it

[Aria]:

[All]:

Don't cha wish? Don't cha wish?

Baby, look but don't you blink!

(Bass and claps take centre stage)

I'm the headline

You copy my fit, copy my hair

Copy my moves, but I don't play fair

Pretty face, sharp tongue, game on lock

Ten out of ten when I walk that block

Sorry, little baby, better try harder!

No competition, I set the pace

Cool in my walk, got fire in my face

You want my secret? It's called being the boss!

[Aria]:

[Sera]:

You can wish upon a star

But you won't get very far

[All]:

If you don't know who you are!

Don't cha wish you could be like me?

Walk that walk with the VIP

Don't cha wish you could steal my shine?

Sorry, baby, this crown is mine!

Ooh-la-la, look at me now

Everybody wanna know just how

I do it, do it, do it so fine

Don't cha wish that you could be mine?

[Nova]: Don't cha?

(A funky instrumental riff loops over a thick bassline and snappy drums.)

[Nova]: Watch me!

[All — whispered]: Don't cha wish…

[Jaeha]: You wish!

(Bass slams back in.)

(The production softens to electric piano and finger snaps.)

[Sera]:

[Nova]:

No more waiting for permission

I was born to make decisions!

[Sera — ad-libs]:

Oh, shine on me!

Oh, can't you see?

[Nova]: So… you wanna be me?

[Minji]: Get in line, babe.

[Jaeha]: Next!

[All — whispered]:

Don't cha wish…

You were us?
