April Seventh

keeping a hand on my growing belly

Counting the days, every heartbeat steady

Tiny blue blanket folded by the bed

A little name dancing in our heads

We talk about the face we’ll see

The little hands reaching for mom and dad

Every dream is new, just like the space we grew

Aiden, we’re already waiting for you

The calendar turns, the spring winds sway

One special date is on its way

April seventh, come on home

Aiden, you’ll never be alone

Gio will be your dad, I’ll hold you close

You’re the little boy we love the most

April seventh, our hearts will say

Welcome, baby boy, on your beautiful day

Aiden, our whole world starts with you

And every dream is finally coming true

I got a story I'll read each night

I’ve got your first little outfit tucked just right

We laugh at the names we almost chose

While your tiny kicks keep coming in close

The sunlight falls across the room

Making space for your brand-new moon

No matter how quickly the seasons go

You’ll always be the song that made us grow

The calendar turns, the spring winds sway

One special date is on its way

April seventh, come on home

Aiden, you’ll never be alone

I will be your mom, Gio hold you close

You’re the little boy we love the most

April seventh, our hearts will say

Welcome, baby boy, on your beautiful day

Aiden, our whole world starts with you

And every dream is finally coming true

We don’t know your first words yet

Or the color of your eyes

But we know the room will brighten

When we hear your first hello and cry

From Gio’s arms into mine

We’ll meet the love we’ve waited to find

April seventh, come on home

Aiden, you’ll never be alone

We are your parents, we'll hold you close

You’re the little boy we love the most

April seventh, our hearts will say

Welcome, baby boy, on your beautiful day

Aiden, our whole world starts with you

And every dream is finally coming true
