Bad Idea

Mmm, come closer

You know you shouldn’t

So why you lookin’ at me like that?

You said you’re just out for a minute

But you’ve been here all night

Got her name lighting up your screen

You turn it over, I smile

Your cologne’s on my shoulder

My gloss on your sleeve

You say, “We should probably go”

Then you pull me back in

You’ve got somebody waitin’

I’ve got nowhere to be

We both know what we’re doin’

So don’t make a speech

You’re a bad idea, good time

One more song, one more ride

She can have your daytimes

You can keep me past midnight

No, I don’t want forever

I just like you right here

You’re a bad idea, good time

Let’s not make it weird

Ooh, don’t make it weird

Ooh, just keep me near

Bad idea, good time

You’re still here

You get so sweet when the bass drops

Like you might change your mind

Then your phone buzzes twice

And you laugh, “She’s probably fine”

I know your little stories

You know I know they’re lies

But you look so good beside me

In this blue-purple light

You’ve got somebody waitin’

I’ve got nowhere to be

We both know what we’re doin’

So don’t make a speech

You’re a bad idea, good time

One more song, one more ride

She can have your daytimes

You can keep me past midnight

No, I don’t want forever

I just like you right here

You’re a bad idea, good time

Let’s not make it weird

Don’t say you’re leaving

Then stay by the door

Don’t say you miss me

Then ask me for more

We can keep it easy

Keep it out of sight

You go back to your life

I go back to mine

You’re a bad idea, good time

One more song, one more ride

She can have your daytimes

You can keep me past midnight

No, I don’t need forever

I just like you right here

You’re a bad idea, good time

Come on, let’s not make it weird

Mmm, don’t make it weird

You’re still here

Bad idea…

Good time.
