WHEN THE WORLD LOST ITS SPARK

Yeah…

I had this dream

where the world lost its spark.

Started at my father's house,

Me and my son on the floor.

Everybody moving like they knew

Something was coming before.

Then I looked up at the sky…

And everything changed.

Drones falling, planes going down,

Internet disappeared.

People running everywhere,

But I wasn't scared.

I grabbed my son,

I knew the route.

I'd been preparing for this.

No signal, no warning,

No way to call for help.

The whole world was searching…

But I already knew where to go.

When the lights go out,

Can you find your way?

When the phones go dead,

Can you navigate?

Everybody running,

Everybody freaking out,

But I knew the route

Before the world found out.

I don't need a signal,

I don't need a screen.

You can lose the whole world…

I can still find my way.

Three of my people came,

Said they weren't leaving me.

One key in my hand,

And a tunnel underneath.

We took the underground,

Didn't touch the streets.

Teal door shining in the dark…

Apartment seventy-eight.

No streetlights, no directions,

Nothing telling us the way.

But something in me knew…

We were getting there.

When the lights go out,

Can you find your way?

When the phones go dead,

Can you navigate?

Everybody running,

Everybody freaking out,

But I knew the route

Before the world found out.

I don't need a signal,

I don't need a screen.

You can lose the whole world…

I can still find my way.

I wasn't scared.

I was ready.

The world lost its signal…

I didn't lose mine.

No signal, no warning,

No way to call for help.

The whole world was searching…

But I already knew where to go.

When the lights go out,

You can lose the power,

You can lose the screen,

But somewhere underneath it all…

There's still a way to leave.

My father was somewhere else.

My apartment was miles away.

But somehow…

There was a tunnel.

And I knew the way home.

The thought ran through my mind. I didn't think

This would happen this soon…
