Open Hands (White Knuckle)

Give me open hands, God

Give me open hands

Relax the claims of my hands

Give me open hands, God

Give me open hands

Relax the claims of my hands

I lay down everything

At your feet

At the foot of your throne

I lay down my everything

I lay down everything

At your feet

At the foot of your throne

I lay down my everything

Give me open hands, God

I need your help to be free

- - - -

You are my keeper

You know what I need

You are my keeper

You know what I need

So with open hands

I trust you with everything

- - - -

My desires and my needs

My joy and suffering

What I have and seem to lack

What I’ve taken or kept back

I lay down

At your feet

At the foot of your throne

I lay down my everything

- - - -

Every good gift is from above

Where Christ is

Seated at the right hand of God

Every good thing is above,

Where Christ is

Seated at the right hand of God

Every good gift is from above

Where Christ is

Seated at the right hand of God

Every good thing is above,

Where Christ is

Seated at the right hand of God

- - - -

I lay down

I lay down everything

Prostrate at your feet

At the foot of your throne

I lay down everything

- - - -

My desires and my needs

My joy and suffering

What I have and seem to lack

What I’ve taken or kept back

With white knuckles before

I ask that you help me release

- - - -

And let me trust your hand to provide

Trust your hand to keep me

Without trying to fight this life alone

Would you teach me to abide
