Back Up

babe you're not a back up plan

I picked you first im still your man

blurry eyes see future plans,

elected mayor that never ran

I pray and ask for my spirit cleansed.

How did we go get here again

season vets engulfed in sin

pass the reference a likely win

Last time I rose from the shadows, I found my myself underneath the stone,

trapped between that and a hard place far away from the throne,

another fallen angel, another cover blown

back inside the devil's layer,

stepping out the electric chair

until the rest has none to spare

so here I sit without a care

rejection shows the past of hurt

projections gonna expose my worth.

I've had this pain since my birth

An agony that will not fade.

Flip the script and turn the page

breaking past thru scars on veins no holding back just filth remains

babe you're not a back up plan

I picked you first im still your man

blurry eyes see future plans,

elected mayor that never ran

I pray and ask for my spirit cleansed.

How did we go get here again

season vets engulfed in sin

Past the reference a likely win

double up my intake

switch up as the chains break

see you in that fire lake

but first I have a tail to shake

in Audible a real pump fake

I got grit my past chose

a laughing stock a heart that's froze.

Inside ice no glory shows

beyond the highs we find the Lows

some say thats how the story goes

I ask who's some but no one knows

a breaking point hatrid flows

deception is an art of war

raise the wall or hit the floor consequences settled scores

till I stand strong and need some more

I brand myself a one stop store

time is an illusion hard to keep up with the clicks,

watching hands go round a spin cycle between hits

conversations overdue deciding who best fits,

babe you're not a back up plan

I picked you first im still your man

blurry eyes see future plans,

elected mayor that never ran

I pray and ask for my spirit cleansed.

How did we go get here again

season vets engulfed in sin

pass the reference a likely win

scraping bowls looking for a way out

half the team probably gone any day now.

I wanna love you right Baby please just say how

you and me set the scene now Let it play out

push and pull. It's magnetic draw

came and Fought hell I seen it All

lack of funds may support my fall

You need a loan. I'm gonna make a call.

I'm vibin out It's the chickens dance.

I'm still blue, but I'll take a chance.

A Bad bitch into the bad relapse

I make moves talking money in advance. Catching moods rhythm hits now I'm in a trance.

It's not the start but likely last

Like the 80 piece now that's a blast.

Slow down they say your moving fast.

Remember what goes up may come down and crash

level up and then lead the pack.

A railroad arm complete with tracks

babe you're not a back up plan

I picked you first im still your man

blurry eyes see future plans,

elected mayor that never ran

I pray and ask for my spirit cleansed.

I got you now until the end .
