TOO SLOW

「遅い。」

Too slow.

You practiced that?

Cute.

Tick-tock, tick-tock

Big talk, lip lock

Click-clack, wristwatch

Still can't make this bitch stop

Tip-top, tip-top

Pink flame, blacktop

Talk slick, get caught

Wait—

Did I lose you?

...Thought so.

I haven't even started

I'm just stretching out the syllables

They told me keep it simple

I said simple isn't difficult

Quiet in the corner

While you're fighting for attention

I don't need to own the room

To make the whole room pay attention

口だけなら簡単

Show me what you really got

Everybody wants the crown

Till the metal gets hot

Tick-tock, keep up

We're still on level one

If you're already out of breath

We're gonna have some fun

Quick step, switch left

Big breath, not yet

One bar, two tongues

Watch how the words connect

日本語からEnglish

Then I bend it back again

切り替えるこのflow

Before you know where it began

Consonants colliding

Little vowels doing gymnastics

Rhyme inside a rhyme

Then I flip it acrobatic

You heard the first layer?

Congratulations.

There's four.

まだ遅い

もっと速く

ついて来れるなら

見せてみな

Don't blink, don't trip

Don't stumble on the tempo

I can whisper through a verse

And hit harder than an echo

Tick-tock, tick-tock

Keep up, keep up

Big talk, big talk

Speak up, speak up

Too slow

Too slow

「遅い、遅い。」

Thought I switched flows?

That was the warm-up.

One breath

Two languages

Three patterns running

Four bars ahead

While you're still counting something

Back up

Track that

Black nails

Snap back

Pink streak

Night train

Tokyo

Fast lane

Low voice

High stakes

No brakes

My pace

You wanted rap Akari?

Hi.

Nice to meet you.

Now keep up.

言葉を重ねて

リズムを変えて

息を整えて

まだまだ行ける

English in the left ear

日本語 right

Switch 'em in the middle

Now they're dancing on the same line

Fast isn't impressive

If there's nothing being said

Put a thought inside the rhythm

Then the rhythm in your head

Technique isn't speed.

Speed is just a tool.

Still with me?

Good.

Funny.

I spent the whole song

Showing how fast I can move

Just to prove

I don't have to.

One word hits harder

When you know where to put it

One pause owns a room

When you're not scared to use it

だから急がない

I decide the pace

Fast flow

Slow flow

Either way

It's my flow

You came here wondering

If Akari could really rap?

「遅い。」

You should've known.
