I thought I’d find a little flaw

Something to complain about

A perfect smile, a perfect voice

There had to be a catch somehow

So I walked up, prepared to judge

She laughs at all my stupid jokes

And somehow knows just what to say

I came prepared to roll my eyes

Unfortunately, she’s lovely!

And it’s driving me insane!

I was ready not to like her

Now I’m smiling at her name!

She’s got sunshine in her pockets

She’s got kindness in her veins

And I hate how much I get it

Why they all adore her face!
