THE WORDS I BURIED

I carved your name behind my teeth,

where every truth was buried deep.

I wore my silence like a crown,

too scared to speak, too proud to drown.

You stood so close, I felt your fire,

but never showed you my desire.

I thought that time was on my side—

now someone else stands where I hide.

And I could tear the heavens open,

I could curse the stars above.

But you were never mine to lose—

you never knew you had my love.

I should have told you!

I should have screamed your name!

Before another heart could reach you,

before she took my place.

Now I’m watching from the shadows,

while she’s standing by your side.

And I miss you like fucking hell—

while my silence eats me alive.

You never broke my heart.

I broke it on my own.

I loved you in the darkness—

and now I bleed alone.

Take me back across the border,

to the steam against our skin.

To that night beneath the silence,

before I knew how this would end.

The water burned, the world went quiet,

you were close enough to touch.

If I had known I’d lose that moment,

I would’ve told you everything at once.

Now that memory is a kingdom

I would burn the world to find.

One day I thought meant nothing—

now it haunts me every night.

I should have told you!

I should have screamed your name!

Before another heart could reach you,

before she took my place.

Now I’m watching from the shadows,

while she’s standing by your side.

And I miss you like fucking hell—

while my silence eats me alive.

You never broke my heart.

I broke it on my own.

I loved you in the darkness—

and now I bleed alone.

Does she know what I never said?

Does she hear the words inside my head?

Does she touch the hands I still recall?

Does she know I would’ve risked it all?

But how could you have chosen me

when I gave you nothing to choose?

How could you know

I was already yours

when I was too afraid

to tell you the truth?

So let the silence wear its crown.

Let every buried word hunt me down.

No villain stole you from my hands—

I built this ending where I stand.

I SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU!

I SHOULD HAVE SCREAMED YOUR NAME!

Before my fear became a prison,

before forever came too late.

Now I’m watching from the shadows,

and she’s standing by your side.

God, I miss you like fucking hell—

there’s nowhere left to hide.

You never broke my heart.

You never even knew.

The villain of this story

was the silence

between me and you.

Take me back across the border…

back to water, smoke and skin.

Just one more night beside you…

I’d tell you everything.
