[intro] [Beat drops in slow, heavy, menacing bass with a gritty street-preacher cadence]
Look...
Mindset fractured, had to get my head right.
They talking down from a distance, but we stepping in the light.
Check the armor, look... [verse 1] I put the belt of truth around my waist, keep it solid, never fold,
Got the breastplate of righteousness shielding up a heart of gold.
Footsteps heavy on the pavement, fitted with the gospel peace,
Walking through the valley where the wicked try to start the grease.
Look, they scheming in the shadows, tryna puncture up my shield of faith,
Fiery darts of envy, but I cover up in higher grace.
Got the helmet of salvation locked tight around my mental state,
Block the whispers of the enemy, I circumvent the heavy weight.
Then I pull the sword of the Spirit—that’s the living Word—
Slice through every single lie and every rumor that occurred. [hook] It’s a spiritual warfare, look me in my eyes,
The devil don't need a weapon when he got a tongue and lies.
Yeah, he operational, creeping through the common block,
Using gossip as a tool to try and shatter up the rock.
Keep your armor strapped, keep your spirit right,
’Cause a whisper is a fire burning down the whole slate tonight. [verse 2] Let’s talk about the weapon that they use when they want division:
Gossip is a cancer, it’s a blur to a holy vision.
Proverbs 16:28 says a whisperer splits up close friends,
Poisoning the well until the brotherhood and fellowship ends.
They treat a secret like a snack, chew it up like it’s a sweet treat—
Proverbs eighteen-eight, dropping morsels right down to the street.
Man, it goes right down to the inner parts, messing up the core,
Slanderous lips leaving trauma right outside the door.
James chapter 3—look—the tongue is a forest fire,
Burning down destinies, feeding the deep desire
Of the adversary, who is laughing while you running stats,
Spreading fabricated fictions and compiling all the petty chats.
I bypass the chatter, put the armor on and stand my ground,
Praying in the Spirit till the peace of God is all around.[outro] Yeah.
Logically speaking, if the foundation is solid, the house don't fall.
Put the full armor on. Ephesians chapter six, verses ten through twenty.
Watch who you listen to. Watch what comes out your mouth.
The tongue has the power of life and death, and some of y'all are choosing execution.
Big G. We out… Breadwinner business.
