Lead me trough the unknown

Father, I am standing where the road divides,

And I cannot see beyond the night.

There are questions hiding in the dark,

There are voices pulling at my heart.

I lay tomorrow at Your feet.

Be the lamp that shines in front of me.

I don't ask to see the whole way through—

Only give me faith to follow You.

Lead me through the unknown, Lord,

When I cannot see the road.

Be a lamp unto my feet,

Be the light that leads me home.

If a door is not from You,

Give me courage not to stay.

If the path before me is Yours,

Give me strength to walk that way.

I don't need to see tomorrow,

I just need Your hand in mine.

Keep me rooted in Your love, Lord,

Lead me one step at a time.

Give me wisdom greater than my feelings,

Give me eyes that recognize what's true.

Strip away what I want to believe

If it keeps me from hearing You.

Let me know the tree by what it bears,

Not by promises that fill the air.

Guard my heart without making it stone,

And when I wander, call me home.

Though I walk through the darkest valley,

I will fear no evil—You are here.

You are my refuge and my fortress,

So whom shall I fear?

Search me, God, and know my heart.

Test my thoughts and make them clear.

If there is a crooked road before me,

Turn my feet away from there.

Give me wisdom.

Give me courage.

Give me eyes that truly see.

If what I love is good,

teach me not to destroy it with fear.

If what I love is wrong,

teach me not to protect it with hope.

If I am meant to wait,

give me patience.

If I am meant to move,

give me courage.

If I must let go,

give me strength.

And if I am where You want me—

give me peace enough to stay.

Lead me through the unknown, Lord!

Even when I cannot see!

Your Word will be the lamp before me,

Your love will carry me.

I will not bow down to my fear,

I will not let tomorrow rule today.

You have held me through the fire before—

You will not abandon me halfway.

I don't need every answer.

I don't need every sign.

The Shepherd knows the road ahead—

And I know the Shepherd is mine.

When I cannot see—

let me trust.

When I cannot hear—

let me wait.

When truth appears—

let me face it.

When You say go—

let me go.

Keep me in Your love.

Keep me in Your truth.

Keep me close to You.

Amen.
