I used to think love was a word you could say,

Something you feel when the world goes your way.

Now I know better, now I understand—

Love is a choice…

Love is a stand.

It’s showing up when the nights get cold,

Being the man they can trust and hold.

For my daughters, I’ll be their shelter,

No matter the storm, I’ll stand beside them forever.

“You can tell me anything, I’ll never turn away,

I’ll have your back at the end of every day.”

I’ve made mistakes, I’ve lost my way,

But I’m not gonna let them define me today.

Every scar is a lesson, every fall is a chance,

To become the man I said I’d be—

I’m gonna rise again!

LOVE IS SHOWING UP!

When everything is breaking, I won’t run!

LOVE IS FIGHTING ON!

Even when the road gets hard and long!

I’ll sacrifice, I’ll bleed, I’ll change,

I’ll walk through fire, I’ll face the pain!

For the ones who gave my life a reason—

I’ll keep fighting through my darkest demons!

Love is becoming who I need to be tonight!

Second chances aren’t promises made,

They’re built with the choices you make every day.

I can’t rewrite the things I’ve done,

But I can build something better from what I’ve become.

A stable home, a future we can believe,

A place where the people I love can breathe.

Not just “I love you,” not words in the air—

I’ll prove it with everything I do from here.

If I have to tear down the man I was,

To build the man my family deserves,

Then let every weakness hit the ground,

Let every doubt get buried now.

I’ve been lost…

But my heart was never gone.
