Looking Back - Updated Version ID

Empty bottles can't hold the tears lost in the flood

Ripped up pictures can't patch a heart wrapped in blood

You were the map but the roads are burning still

Now I'm stranded questioning the meaning of my will

You were supposed to be the fire in my dark

Now I'm left chasing echoes torn apart

Where do I go streets are screaming in the black

Can't find a way forward when I keep looking back

My hands tremble the weight of your ghost too much

Every corner whispers your name cold touch

Rewind the clock no signal no rewind

Your love was a trap and now I'm confined

You were the answer now I’m stuck with the void

Mismatched puzzle pieces life’s been destroyed

Crawling on jagged edges to find something true

But every stone rolls back and leads me to you

You were supposed to be the fire in my dark

Now I'm left chasing echoes torn apart

Where do I go streets are screaming in the black

Can't find a way forward when I keep looking back

Do I bury this wreckage or carry its weight

Every turn mocks me like it's sealed in my fate

Shattered dreams shards cutting deep like knives

What do I do now when love can't survive

Looking back, can't do it anymore

Loved you once, but that was way before

Chasing echoes, a reminder post war

Once u was my fire, now I just mostly ignore

No more pain, no fucking encore

Looking back, I should've took a detour

It's riddled with pain, it hurt hardcore

Roads are burning, the streets all tore

Needed time to rest, needed time to restore

She ripped me to pieces, mainly my core,

I think it's time heal, I might just explore,

I'm still fucking angry, still too sore

Learned from my mistakes, I guess so sure

I want something better, more fucking pure,

How can I do that, fuck there all just whores

Now I locked my heart away until I find that cure

You were supposed to be the fire in my dark

Now I'm left chasing echoes torn apart

Where do I go streets are screaming in the black

Can't find a way forward when I keep looking back
