Choose The Good

Oh, oh—yeah

New sun, new soul, new way

Oh, oh—yeah

I choose the good today

Morning paints the ocean gold,

A brand-new story to unfold

Yesterday can drift away—

It doesn’t get to own today

Bare feet touching solid ground,

Birdsong waking up the town

I breathe it in and let it move

There’s always something good to choose

I can’t control the wind or rain,

But I can choose what fills my sails

Every sunrise calls my name—

Come alive, begin again

I choose the good, I choose the light,

I choose to open up my eyes

Even when the clouds roll through,

There’s a little patch of blue

I choose the love, I choose the way

That brings some kindness to the day

Life is calling—here I am

With an open heart and open hands

Oh-way-oh, let the new day roll

Oh-way-oh, let the good take hold

Oh-way-oh, whatever comes my way

I choose the good today

No, I don’t need a perfect view

To find a reason to break through

A cup of coffee, someone’s smile,

Can make the hard road feel worthwhile

Every moment plants a seed,

Every heart has something it needs

So I’ll bring hope wherever I go,

A little more love for every soul

I can’t rewrite what’s come and gone,

But I can wake and carry on

Every heartbeat seems to say—

You’ve been given one more day

I choose the good, I choose the light,

I choose to open up my eyes

Even when the clouds roll through,

There’s a little patch of blue

I choose the love, I choose the way

That brings some kindness to the day

Life is calling—here I am

With an open heart and open hands

If the rain falls, let it fall

I’ll still be grateful through it all

If the road bends, I will sway

Like the palms beside the bay

No fear stealing what is mine,

No shadow ever stops the shine

This day is more than passing time—

It’s a gift, and I’m alive

So turn it up, let the whole world hear

We’ve got love and we’ve got life right here

One more breath, one more chance to say:

“I’m gonna make the most of today!”

I choose the good, I choose the light,

I choose the joy that lives inside

Even when the clouds roll through,

I’ll be someone else’s blue

I choose the love, I choose the way

That leaves the world a brighter place

Life is calling—here I am

With an open heart and open hands

Oh-way-oh, let the new day roll

Oh-way-oh, let the good take hold

Oh-way-oh, come whatever may—

I choose the good today

New sun, new soul, new way—

I choose the good today
