Lorrie and phil rod run sep 12 love song.

LONG BEACH, WASHINGTON

There are places on this earth that remember who we were,

Where the footprints of the living meet the footprints of the years.

Where a child once walked the shoreline, where a family came before,

And the Pacific kept on speaking as it had forevermore.

Phil knew the sound of Long Beach

Before he knew the shape of time,

Knew the wind across the dunes,

Knew the ocean by its rhyme.

And somewhere in that endless blue,

When life had lost its way,

Lorrie came into his story

And turned the night toward day.

Long Beach, Washington, where the ocean meets the sky,

Where Lorrie and Phil found a love that time can't divide.

Where Phil's family left their memories, like footprints in the sand,

And Lorrie took his hand and helped him understand:

Tide in, tide out, let the years roll on,

The people we have loved are never really gone.

Long Beach, Washington, forever in their hearts,

Where family, love, and ocean waves are never truly apart.

The beach is always different,

Yet somehow still the same.

The tide erases yesterday

But never takes the name.

The driftwood finds another shore,

The dunes reshape the land,

And every generation leaves

A story in the sand.

Phil carries those before him

In the places that he knows,

In the roads and old remembered days,

In the wind that comes and goes.

And Lorrie doesn't just walk beside him—

She becomes a part of it,

A new chapter in an old, old book

The Pacific hasn't finished yet.

And love—if it's the real thing—

Isn't always soft and still.

Sometimes it's sitting face to face

And having words you will.

It's listening when the other hurts,

It's learning when you're wrong,

It's knowing that communication

Is how a love stays strong.

So Lorrie and Phil keep building,

Not a castle made of stone,

But something much more lasting—

A place they both call home.

A thousand conversations,

A thousand little choices,

Two people learning how to hear

The meaning in each other's voices.

Someday the working years will fade

Like footprints after rain,

And they'll have time to wander

Those familiar shores again.

They'll watch the moon rise over water,

Watch the sun descend,

And wonder how a life can hold

So many beginnings and ends.

Maybe they'll talk about the people

Who walked this beach before,

And tell the next generation

Why this place means something more.

Because family isn't only blood.

It is memory.

It is place.

It is the stories that survive

When time has changed the face.
