Three in the morning,

rain against the glass,

Another broken dream of a forgotten past.

A shadow by the streetlight,

a face I cannot see,

Why does a stranger feel like a memory?

I keep drawing places I've never been,

A winding road and a bridge between.

Every line I draw brings you back again,

Standing like a secret in the pouring rain.

I don't know your story,

I don't know your name,

But something inside me remembers the pain.

You vanish in the darkness,

leaving nothing here,

So why does it feel like I've lost you for years?

There's something in your eyes,

Something I almost know.

A thousand missing memories,

But one that won't let go.

Who are you to me?

Why can't I let you go?

Why does my heart remember

What my mind will never know?

A blue rose in a garden,
